Sustainability & Eco-Friendly Practices in Scotland

If you would like to know more about our sustainability commitments, every decision we make in our Scottish Highlands workshop is guided by environmental responsibility. From sourcing clean ingredients to using plastic-free shipping materials, we are dedicated to reducing our footprint at every stage of production.

Natural Ingredients & Cruelty-Free Formulations

We carefully select sustainable wax blends and lead-free cotton wicks that burn cleanly without emitting harmful soot or toxins. All of our fragrance oils are vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, and completely free from parabens and phthalates. Furthermore, our luxury hand and body wash formulas are crafted using gentle plant-based ingredients that are kind to both your skin and aquatic life.

Plastic-Free Packaging & Circular Recyclability

Protecting the natural beauty of the Scottish coast is fundamental to our business. We package all orders using recyclable cardboard, biodegradable paper tape, and eco-friendly protective fill instead of single-use plastics. Our glass candle jars, diffuser bottles and body wash bottles are fully recyclable or designed to be repurposed in your home as vases, brush holders, or storage containers.

Steve and I are committed to reducing our environmental impact and working towards a more sustainable future.

We've included points from our sustainability policy below so you can see our progress:

  • We will use zero plastic packaging, alongside reusing old packaging. Including boxes, tape and void fill

  • 80% of raw materials are obtained locally from us in Scotland, using other businesses who share our values. Where possible we buy in larger quantities in order to reduce the number of deliveries

  • Ingredients we use are vegan, without the use of any palm oil, SLS or parabens

  • We buy only recycled paper from sustainable sources

  • Our waste is kept to a minimum and recycled responsibly

  • Our workshop is powered by solar energy from our home. Our one electrical appliance for manufacture is always used at capacity to reduce energy consumption. Lighting is provided by two LED lights and a small radiator which is active only in the winter to prevent labels peeling from our jars

  • We try to schedule your parcel collections from the workshop with Royal Mail at the same time as receiving our personal post to reduce unnecessary mileage - shout out to our amazing postie! :-)
