Why Use Sphagnum Moss?
Sphagnum moss is valued for its ability to hold moisture, which makes it useful in terrariums and a range of houseplant-growing applications.
We used sphagnum moss in closed terrariums alongside humidity-loving plants because it helped retain moisture while also adding texture and natural colour.
When using sphagnum moss, keep an eye on moisture levels rather than assuming wetter is always better. Different plants have different needs, and permanently saturated growing media can cause problems for roots.
